Full mouth rehabilitation refers to the restoration of a mouth that has been severely damaged through decay or disease, or where there has been significant tooth loss or injury. Using a combination of treatments such as implants and oral surgery, our team at The Dentist are able to restore your mouth to full function.
We may recommend this course of treatment due to the extent or type of damage or decay present in the mouth. The patient may have received an injury that requires several restorative treatments to properly treat and restore it, or it may be a case of general wear and tear that is beyond one single treatment.
We’ll always start by taking X-rays and scans so that we can assess the damage present and ensure the mouth is healthy enough to receive the treatment we suggest. We’ll then build a treatment plan that works great for the individual patient.
This is a highly individualised process, and the exact treatments involved for each patient undertaking a full mouth rehabilitation will be different. In some cases, we may suggest a course of multiple crowns and veneers, as well as onlays. These are a more conservative treatment and leave more of the natural teeth in-tact. In more severe cases, the treatment journey may involve multiple implants and oral surgery.
