Cosmetic dentures are designed to fulfil the same purpose as traditional dentures – to restore a mouth with missing teeth to full function, but in a more design-led, aesthetically-pleasing and enhancing style.
Where traditional and cosmetic dentures differ is in the design process. You are very much in the driving seat when it comes to the design of your cosmetic dentures, and are able to choose between enhancing your natural smile, or mimicking it completely.
Because cosmetic dentures offer a more bespoke design option, they may take longer to make than traditional dentures, which will increase the treatment process time. They are also more expensive and are not available on the NHS.
Although we always recommend replacing teeth wherever possible, we understand that the choice about how you replace them is a very personal one. We’ll always talk you through all your options and are able to offer a wide range of replacement options here at the practice. Choosing cosmetic dentures will allow you to have a more unique smile and a more bespoke experience overall and could leave you feeling more confident than ever when you smile.
