Had a last minute appointment for my 2 year old, the actual dentist and assistant were brilliant with her and couldn’t have asked for more on that front, however, there was a receptionist who came across very rude and I was actually taken aback by this.She was a blonde woman possibly in her 50s who barely gave eye contact, gave very short blunt answers when I tried to smile and engage with her. When we were leaving, she allowed my daughter and I to come down the stairs before she went up, when we smiled and said thank you she just glared and said “yes.”I’m not sure if it was because we were NHS patients and not private as she seemed very polite to the lady who had been in the queue before me, so couldn’t put it down to being a bad day…The younger, dark haired lady on reception was very friendly and kind to my 2 year old.
There was a small issue after my treatment, but the team handled it with care and professionalism. I felt fully supported throughout, and everything was resolved smoothly. Both my daughter and I have recently joined this practice and saw Dr Aradalegbe both times. We've been very happy with the service received. The second time I went was for a filling which is never nice, but he was gentle, patient and professional. He took time to explain what needed to be done and was always making sure I was okay. I can highly recommend Dr Aradalegbe for your dental needs

My first check up was yesterday. My initial contact to try to register, I walked in to ask to register as an NHS patient as my previous Dentist was not in Bishops Stortford and needed one in the area. The reception staff were all so helpful and booked an appointment for the following week to register and have a check up. On my first checkup the Dentist was so lovely and explained everything and talked through my X-ray. Thank you for accepting me as an NHS patient. I have not had any treatment as yet but know I will feel at ease with the Dentist when I have any treatment.
Really, really lovely practice. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the practice is clean and welcoming once inside and the dentist that saw me (Dr Shah) really relieved a lot of my anxiety about the dentist. She answered all my questions, explained in detail about what she saw and just was overall kind. I also spoke to the manager who was very informative and kind as well. Highly recommend
Just been to see the dentist and I got to say the service here is amazing. From the second I went in, I was made to feel welcome by the dentists. They went above and beyond and helped me fill in the patient form and were very patient not rushing me, completely making me feel at home.They also took the time to explain to me what was happening to my teeth in detail and were very friendly whilst being professional at the same time. I have never had a better experience at a dentist than I have had here. If your looking for a dentist in Stortford, I highly recommend this dentist. 5/5 stars.
Experienced a very good appointment, for my grandson who is autistic and has not been for a good while due to this.Hanna, was very patient with him and explained everything she was doing, both to Connor and myself.Also she made a point of reassuring him, during the appointment.
My husband and I have been struggling to get on as an NHS patient with The Dentist and have been on the waiting list and going private for well over 3 years. Each time I ask, the receptionist keeps saying she cannot tell me where on the list we are as it is up to the "Head Office" who controls the list and that they will ring me when I get to the top. She would not give me the number for the "Head Office" to see what is really going on. However, they keep saying the wait is about 1 1/2 years and I've been waiting twice that amount of time. This should have flagged to the receptionist that something was wrong, but it didn't. When I explained this to my dentist Dr Ganesh, as always he patently listened to me to get all the details. Then he raised the issue with the practice manager, Dr. Shubham there and then. Directly after my appointment, Dr. Shubham took the time to chat with me and listened to all my concerns. He stated that he has been there only about 1 1/2 years and unfortunately when he was given the NHS waiting list, our names were not on it. However, he did set us up as NHS patients with our next check-up. I'm very pleased with the quality of work that Dr Ganesh has done, and am pleased with the proactive attitude to resolve issues and put things rights with both Dr Ganesh and Dr. Shubham. I just wish that the receptionist had to same proactive approach, but I know their job is very difficult and they are often very busy. Next time I have an issue, I'll go straight to the dentist and the practice manager where I'll know it will be sorted.
I was really taken care of today in particular to the young man I spoke to on the phone, who has fantastic people skills and empathised with my severe pain and arranged an immediate appointment with Dr Ganesh Nellailingam who performed a root canal treatment. I am very happy about the care I recieved today.
Fantastic. Yusuf Patel agreed to fit me in with only a few minutes notice, he was great. Everyone was so lovely, happy and friendly. Nobody knew that I have had bad experiences in the past at other dentists that meant I’ve been too scared to go, so first time in 10 years and they really put me at ease.. I’m so grateful thank you!

I see dr Nikesh who went through my treatment plan with me and Dr shubham who kindly explained the importance and benefits of looking after my oral health. I went to the dentist after being away from stortford for 4 years and as a nervous patient, Hanna kept me very relaxed and reassured me on every part of the procedure. When she was working in my teeth she’d allow me to take breaks when needed and at no time made me feel rushed. Would highly recommend her and the dentist team to anyone. I tried to leave a review with the QR code in reception but it wouldn’t load. But that hasn’t stoped me from leaving a review on here. Thank you very much
I am a very nervous patient but I can say I had a great experience today with Ade. He listened to my concerns and was very gentle with me on my hygienist visit. It was my best experience.The practice also is great with very good customer service.
The service has gone downhill in recent years. Currently awaiting a follow up appointment for a fitting for my child. Each time we call, no one answers and it goes to answerphone. We leave a message but no one returns the call. Been going on for nearly a month now.Follow up: Absolutely disgusted with the way we have been treated. Finally got to arrange an appointment for a fitting but the dentist in question couldn't be bothered to attend and left the device with the receptionist. The mould doesn't fit and this should have been the purpose of the appointment to make sure everything was ok. I'm a private patient and will definitely not be going here again.

This place is ace! I feel so blessed to have such a good dentist on my doorstep. Today especially Rachel on reception helped me to keep calm and just come when I needed to be seen in an emergency.Dentist Mustafa Khan and assistant Lucy are both so calm, confident and reassuring. They have the best bedside manner and they are extremely professional with a touch of being real! I have nothing but awe and praise for all concerned.I wish all practices realised that it is staff that make the best practice. And the staff I have mentioned are just brilliant. Rosie has taken such care throughout my implant journey from planning it in the spring to fitting it today. And it is perfect - in colour and in shape. She explained the process very clearly at every stage to give me confidence that I was in good hands. Such a change from my previous dentist! And that was complemented by the reception staff being so helpful with appointments. I am so pleased to have made the move to 'The Dentist' - a great team.
Dr. Adaralegbe was absolutely fantastic. I went in for a checkup and then a filling a week later and he was very patient throughout the whole process, and took the time to explain what he was doing. The easiest filling I've ever had done.
I have been a patient of this practice my entire life. I had my first appointment with Nick today and I cannot recommend him enough. He was so caring, informative, professional and took all the time I needed to discuss treatment plans. I was very impressed and am happy he is my dentist now (after being a very very happy client of David Sher’s for many years!) I must also mentioned the hygienist, Kiera, every time I see her I feel like I’m seeing my friend! She is the kindest, most wonderful person ever and I’m always so happy after I see her! And lastly, but my no means least, Christie. I don’t even know where to start, Christie has been there for me my entire life and she is the best thing to happen at ‘The Dentist’. She always makes me feel welcome, has an amazing smile and even better laugh! Overall, there is no place to go other than ‘The Dentist’!
Booked an appointment for a check up, initial appointment was cancelled due to dentist being sick. Rebooked a week later ensuring I would be able to be seen in a downstairs room so I could bring along my 3 month old twins. Unfortunately my double pram wouldn't fit through the door. Teju the dental nurse kindly offered to watch over my sleeping duo whilst I was in the chair. Such a lovely team, went above and beyond. Thank you very much for being so friendly & accommodating.

Following a letter I received from NHS authorities, I had to contact The Dentist to email them directly. The manager, Mr Shabham kindly phoned them directly for me and sorted everything for me very quickly. Myself and my children have always had good experiences with this dental practice and I hope this continues.
Mustafa Was amazing. I didn't think i could sit through teeth cleaning without having numbing injections as i have had to do for many years. He was very gentle and he has restored my faith in dentists

Excellent care was given to my mother , as always at The Dentist Bishop’s Stortford. As she is 80 years old and has Dementia, I was absolutely delighted by the superb treatment Dr Mustafa Khan completed at our appointment. He worked above and beyond his duties to successfully extract two difficult broken teeth which had infection .My mother remained relaxed and Dr Khan was wonderful with her .She was so happy to get the treatment done and now pain free. He was so very caring and showed such compassion with her situation. His Dental Nurse Nirmala was extremely kind and so lovely with my mother too. Thank you so much again.
I called this morning to reschedule an appointment however I came into some difficulty with a member of staff on the phone where I asked to speak to a manager. The manager, within 15 minutes, called me apologising for this issue and helped me solve it. He was so lovely and understanding and took the time out of his day to help with my problem. The team at the dentist are very busy and hardworking, going the extra mile like the manager did is the standard of customer service expected. Please be considerate that these guys are super busy!! Fanatic surgery, Dr Ganesh (Dentist) and Practice manager (Dr.Shubham) are doing the great job. My son and I have been patients since 2016 and with time the practice has improved so the service is excellent. Everyone is very helpful and we want to thank Dr.Ganesh for his expertise and help. I always felt it's very accessible and I highly recommend this practice.

From the Practice Manager Dr. Shubham booking me in and making it a very welcoming experience, to Dr. Yusuf and Nurse Nirmala providing a thorough appointment and cleaning, I was extremely happy with my visit. Recently I encountered an issue with finding an appointment with what turns out to be my wisdom teeth coming in, which I am due to have surgically removed.I have been a patient at this practice since I was 2 years old and have always found their dentists, particularly the one I visit most regularly, very kind and thorough and have consistently received excellent treatment and care for all my dental needs.When booking with this dentist it is essential to be specific. I had an issue trying to get an emergency appointment, because I was told over the phone there were none at all and advised to call 111, which was worrying because I am pregnant and therefore worried about how the unknown pain I was experiencing may effect my baby if untreated.However, I am very pleased that the doctors here made the effort to see me the next day as well as schedule a surgery to have my wisdom teeth removed, as well as prescribe me with antibiotics to help with the pain. As soon as they knew I was concerned and needed help they went above their pay grade to help me, which I am very grateful for.My only criticism, to reiterate, is their over-the-phone customer service / reception, as my initial interaction left me concerned - I am glad I chased it up with the medical staff at the practice so I could get the treatment I need from very caring staff. Overall I would recommend this practice and I am very grateful for everything they have done for me and my family.Thanks again for your help.
My husband had an urgent appt to replace a crown, he has numerous health issues, finds it difficult to lie back, has extreme anxiety and generally finds the whole experience difficult. He was seen today by Mustafa and his nurse Lucy. They were patient and talked to my husband throughout, which always helps to relax him. Mustafa was able to replace the crown and my husband left very calmly, so thank you both for your time and patience, it is so very much appreciated.
The dentist in Bishop Stortford is best service , I have been receiving in 8 years of time, The Dr.Nik is so lovely and Jackie is so friendly. The practice manager is very polite and friendly.
Absolutely shocking service since my dentist left the practice (and I wasn’t told they had!!). I’m registered as an NHS patient and so are my children. Multiple cancelled appointments with no notice and no apologies - and no response when I asked if the private appointments are still going ahead. I believe they’re just using the NHS book to get money from the NHS when not seeing the NHS patients. No duty of care, which is shocking especially for children. Avoid avoid avoid.
Been with this dentist for years as unfortunately no other dentist is taking NHS patients at all, impossible to get an appointment, Ive been trying to seek help from doctors, 111, A&E for a recurring problem for years and they will not help. My appointment that I spent a whole 2 weeks calling up to book everyday untill I had to go in the practice in person, waited a month for the nearest appointment. For them then to cancel my appointment and say the soonest they can offer is 3 months time while I'm crying down the phone. Not good enough, I'm in agony with continued infections and dental issues and no other service will help. Only a Dentist can, and they won't either, absolutely disgusting treatment.
Been going to The Dentist since I moved here in 2015 as a private patient. Happy with my hygienist, but previous Dentist (Dr Sher) left. At my last check-up, new Dentist advised I needed 3 fillings. I was shocked when I was advised that this would cost £1050 (£350 each). Checked with BUPA, who advised cost would be £150 per filling - so The Dentist fees really extortionate! They charged me a £350 deposit in advance of the planned fillings. However - when I realised how inflated their pricing was - I cancelled the following day. That was a month ago - and despite chasing them -I am still awaiting the refund to my account. Advised today that money would not be transferred for another week. I can only imagine if I had not paid my bill for 5 weeks, they would have initiated debt recovery proceedings.I went to another dentist in Bishops Stortford to have the fillings done at a more reasonable cost - only to be told that I didn‘t really need the work done at all!As you can imagine, I wont be going back to The Dentist again - and I‘d advise others to do the same.
Excellent treatment which is always appropriate to my needs. Going to the dentist is never a pleasure but the care from all the staff here makes it manageable.

Really disappointed at the behaviour of this dentist and the staff to make no effort to make up for their errors or show any kind of customer service when a mistake has been made.I tried to change my appointment to the follow week but you cannot get through on the phones so you have to leave a message and wait for them to get back to you.I didn’t receive a call back which was likely because where I live the phone reception is poor. I attended my appointment anyway but when I got there I was told my appointment had been cancelled and the next appointment was in 3 weeks time.I booked time off work, paid for petrol to get there and paid for parking and there was no apology whatsoever.They very much have a computer says no attitude when you ask what is going to be done to make up for their error. The older blonde woman in particular didn’t not seem to give a toss whatsoever.Really very disappointed especially because this is supposed to be an NHS dentist so it is our taxpayers money that is paying for this service and to show such a disregard for peoples wellbeing is very sad.Also because it is an NHS dentist I will have no choice but to go back here.

I would say I am about half way through my Invisalign process and so far I have had a lovely experience with Dr Rosie after she was recommended to me by a friend. She was very knowledgeable in my consultation, did everything to make me feel confident in what would happen and once I’d signed up, she has always been contactable on Instagram for any questions. I am really happy with how my teeth look so far but can’t wait to see them finished!
Have been going to The Dentist for many years, Raj is absolutely brilliant, explained everything. See him as an NHS patient for check-up but any other work needs doing is usually private. Never try to ‘sell’ me anything. Shame he is leaving.
After a life time of sometimes inadequate dental work elsewhere and my own failure to look after my teeth adequately, I needed extensive work to give me back a brilliant smile and a mouth of trouble free teeth. The patience and professionalism of my dentist, even when things didn't go to plan, were exceptional, and I am delighted to face the world with confidence after nearly 20 years!
I have Raj as my dentist, he is such a lovely man, explains very thoroughly what he is about to do and doing. He makes you feel that you have his undivided attention for the whole of your appointment and answers any questions I may have.
I have used dentist for years now, had a appointment for a cracked tooth and being in severe pain. After waiting 4 dayz for a "ermegency"appointment I Arrived 10 minutes late, i called reception to know i would be a little late as well but when I got there they had already "taken on another patient" so refused to see me. They then proceeded to say that I had 3 missed appointments and they couldn't see me anymore , one of the appointments in question was in 2003 when I was 9 years old so I was still a minor. They then forced me to go private and rebooked me for a week later. The attitude of the receptionist stunk until they knew I would pay private then it all changed. Would only reccomend this dentist if you go private as they will jump leaps and bounds for you, if you NHS your treated like a lower citizen. Managed to get another appointment booked in for a different dentist same day and half the price even on private. Would not reccomend and will also be telling family members who are private with this company to change surgery. Staff on reception couldn't care about you the only person that was nice to me and tried to explain it was the manager although I can't remember her name she's doing the practice some good but receptionists need to be trained in new attitude.They have struck me of NHS list even though I was a minor for one of the missed appointments, one of the appointments I didn't even miss I was just late by 10 mins, if I would of been on time I probably would of waited 20 mins to see dentist anyway.
My wife and I have been attending the Dentist for many years. We have had excellent service from both the dentists and dental hygienists. Communication with receptionist is very good and emergency requirements are handled promptly with every effort made to find an urgent appointment.
We have had the good fortune to have been patients at The Dentist since 2002. They have looked after our dental care supremely well and we've never had a bad experience there. They are efficient, polite, skilful, and helpful. We recommend them without hesitation and think it would be very difficult to find a better dental practice.
Highly recommend The Dentist - friendly professional staff. My son recently had 3 baby teeth removed so he could have a brace fitted and the dentist could not have been kinder - explaining the process and putting him at ease. Have always been very happy with any treatment I have received also.
I am very nervous of dental treatment, as I have a severe dental phobia. As a result I avoided visiting a dentist for a long time and needed a lot of treatment.Dr Rosie Winterburn at The Dentist has treated me over the past year for a series of root canals, fillings and teeth whitening and bonding. Dr Rosie is patient, friendly and brilliant at what she does, but most importantly she is excellent with nervous patients like me. I was able to undergo a range of treatments I never previously thought I could ever cope with, such as X-rays, root canal with a dental dam, 3D dental scan and at-home whitening.I was also able to have IV sedation at the practice, for a filling at the back of my mouth. All the other treatment was able to be done without sedation thanks to Dr Rosie!All Dr Rosie's colleagues at The Dentist are also very helpful and good with nervous patients - I had a scale and polish with the hygienist, and did not experience any anxiety. Dr Rosie is very good with children too, my four year old daughter has been for check-ups twice and enjoyed it so much, she wanted to come with me when I had mine!I am so delighted with my smile now and no longer have to hide it in photographs. I am also really pleased that I no longer have to be afraid to go to the dentist.

I have been attending this practice for many years following some disastrous dental work carried out by another practice. The Dentist has retired my confidence in dental work and completely reversed the poor state of my teeth resulting in work from the previous practice. Dr Paul Kletz and his very able and pleasant assistant Jackie have made my visits very postiive and comfortable. I have complete confidence in the work of Dr Kletz and appreciate his clear explanations of work that should be carried out. A visit to The Dentist could almost be described as a pleasure!
I have been going to The Dentist in South Street, Bishop's Stortford for many, many years. Over that time, myself and my family have obviously seen a number of dentists and had numerous treatments, from check ups and fillings, to crowns and tooth replacement at the practice but we have always been very happy with the services they provide. Raj in particular, is friendly, very informative and gives the gentlest injections! Staff on reception are also professional and supportive and will try to answer any questions you might have. Would definitely recommend them!
